Kazan's Sketch 29

Well, I had a spectacular Father's Day weekend. We had some friends join us and we all went to the Oregon coast for a fun-filled day. The weather could not have been better!

I was away from my scrap table for most of the weekend, and I was itching to get back to it. I'm starting with Kazan's sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You. I flipped it on its side and here's the result:

The sentiment and the little birdies are some American Crafts rub-ons I picked up at Big Lots last week for $2! And that gorgeous ribbon came wrapped around some Sakura pens I won from 2S4Y a few months ago. Kazan and Laura are wrapping up their Ultimate Card Showdown with the top ten finalists, and the winner is going to receive some amazing prizes!! Fortunately, the rest of us get to play along with this great sketch :)

Cosmo Cricket Week at 365 Cards!

Yes, another fun sponsored week at 365 cards has begun! Because it's Sunday, we have a sketch challenge, and here is the sketch along with my card:

The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Ever After line, which was perfect for this card, since it is for my SIL and her husband who will celebrate 10 years on the 26th.

The sentiment is from a sheet of SEI rub-ons, which matched perfectly with the color scheme.

Happy Birthday, Cupcake!

Or should I say... Happy Birthday cupcakes?
Well here they are:

And a close-up of the "glittery" flame, created using my Atyou Spica Lemon pen. I colored right on some textured yellow DCWV card stock.

We've got a couple of little boys in the family who are celebrating birthdays this summer - my nephew and my cousin's son - so I whipped these up using my Cricut (Doodlecharms cartridge).

Fun, fun, fun!

Card Patterns - Sketch #18

Well, it's been a while since I've participated in a Card Patterns sketch, and when I saw this one I knew it was time to jump back in. In fact, I liked it so much, I really did not stray from the sketch:

Most of these elements can be found in my June Card Kit, and those details can be found here. Thanks for looking!

365 Cards Sketch #14

HAPPY 40th ANNIVERSARY, MOM AND DAD!!!

Okay, now that that's out of the way, let me share my card for today's Sunday sketch:

I really enjoyed this sketch. It's funny, but even though I like my own sketches, I am more inspired by some over others, and this was definitely a favorite. Thanks for looking and come join the fun!
