These are going out with some niece/nephew gifts, and I'm thrilled with how they turned out!
I started out with these plain wooden letters
I painted both sides with bright red acrylic paint, and then I dipped into some "Caramel" paint from Creative Inspirations Paint to give them a shimmery look.
Here's the finished look
The biggest dilemma I had was deciding how to finish them off. It's tempting to really dress them up, but I wanted something clean, yet rustic.
Here's what I used
I hot glued some jute to the back of each letter for a hanger.
Even though they won't be hanging on my tree, I still count them as one of my "25 Days" ornament designs.
I will definitely make these again, with letters from my little foursome.
Tomorrow I'm planning a quick, not-too-messy project - let's see if it turns out that way...
