A Lunch Date and Some Place Cards

Today I've invited a friend and her daughter (who happens to be a friend of my daughters) over for a very girly lunch date. On the menu: Grilled steak, spinach salad (with strawberries -yum!), grilled veggies, and cake. My mouth is watering right now and we won't be eating for a couple of hours.

We made some place cards for the event, and this is how they turned out:

I haven't decided if I like them, but I do like the little window I created with the oblong punch, behind which I placed our names. I definitely want to do more of this sort of thing, but this one was an experiment.
