It's Friday, and that means I'm up with my take on a color scheme challenge at 365 Cards.
I settled in with a cup of coffee and a yummy new Starbucks blend
Dontcha just adore those colors????
After a few sips, I got to work...
Here are the colors that DoBea selected
And here's my card for my new niece who was born 10 days ago.
I loved these colors and it was easy to create this card!
Here are the details:
Cardstock Papertrey Ink
Stickers SRM Stickers
Feltie Sticker Sassafras Lass
Tape K&Company
Here's a tidbit about the banner...
I used some quilting fabric I bought at Craft Wearhouse a few weeks ago. I love crafting with quilting squares because the colors and patterns are already coordinated for me. And for a card maker, a little bit goes a long way. I chose some left over orange and white polka dotted fabric to cut out the triangles for the banner. I sewed them onto some cardstock and roughed up the edges a bit. It was super easy and looks cool.
Here's what I originally bought the fabric for
I was inspired by a friend of mine to create a fabric garland. I cut some rectangular strips out of the fabric and tied them on to a long strip of jute. I keep some hooks attached beneath the fireplace in my living room and change the decorations to fit the season/holiday. For example, at Christmas I hang stockings.
I hope you leave my blog a little inspired today and join me for the color challenge at 365 Cards...
