I used a Stampin' Up tree on Kraft paper (Colorbox Ink) - a little fussy cutting and some pasting onto cardstock; some added embellishment (with Prima and Making Memories blossoms, MM border and alphas, and Kaiser Scrapbook pearls) and there you have it. I used corrugated cardboard for the card base and decorated the inside as well. The sentiment is computer-generated. Thanks for taking a look :)

A Card and Some Goodies
Here is a card for Kazan's Sketch 20, at 2 Sketches 4 You. I was so excited about a package I got in the mail today, that I had to use it immediately to create a card. The package contained these new embossing folders for my Cuttlebug:
And I used two of them to create this card:
I used some paper from My Mind's Eye, pearls from Kaiser Scrapbook, and Offray ribbon. The sentiment is a clear stamp from Studio g.
If you haven't had a chance to check out my new challenge blog 365 Cards, now is a great time to check it out since we'll be announcing the Design Team and a fun kick-off challenge on the 21st.

Happy Valentine's Day
And a card...
This is from Laura's Sketch 19 at 2 Sketches 4 You. I started out planning on making a valentine - and this is what it turned into. I used paper from the Basic Grey Sugared line, some bling, and a stamped sentiment from Stampin' Up.
It has been a crazy week, and today is the last day to get apps in for my DT search at 365 Cards. I have received lots of applications, and I cannot wait to review them. I've already been blog hopping, and I'm seriously impressed!
By the way - thanks for all the sweet comments about my handsome hubby on the previous post. I was a very lucky winner on the first day of the giveaway - woo hoo!
And one more thing - if you haven't had a chance to check out SNR's Card-iverse, stop by here and join in the fun. There are some great challenges in celebration of Valentine's Day, and some fabulous prizes to go along with. I also shared a tutorial for a card that I think you might enjoy. So check it out and have a wonderful weekend!

Eye Candy for Blog Candy
Over at 2 Sketches 4 You, in honor of Valentine's Day, Laura and Kazan are giving away a lovely prize every day randomly to anyone who shares a link to their blog with a photo of their eye candy. Well, I'm sure he'll disagree, but my husband is my very own eye candy. In my opinion, a picture does not do him justice, but here is a favorite of mine:

Caardvarks Heart Challenge
Here's my card for the latest Caardvarks challenge...
I cut out paisley shapes from Basic Grey's Phoebe line, ran them through my Cuttlebug, turned them over and put them together to make a heart. The sentiment is cut from Cosmo Cricket paper, and there's some ribbon and bling to finish it off. The challenge runs until Feb. 17th, so there's plenty of time if you want to join in the fun!

A Card and its Imperfections
So here is my card for Kazan's sketch #19 at 2 Sketches 4 You.
If you've been to my blog before, you may have noticed that I try to do a close-up shot to provide better detail in the photograph. This time when I looked at the close-up, I noticed that the ribbon had already begun to fray a bit, and the sticker in the corner looks worn in places. But I think that's what makes a handmade card special - it's not perfect, and the beauty and sentiment still come across to the receiver.
Today is actually my birthday, and it has been a wonderful day. I treated myself to a Cuttlebug, which I used to create the embossing effect on the blue card stock. The gingham paper, blossoms and button are all Making Memories Chloe's Closet. The journal sticker is Colorbok Friendly Forest, and the sentiment is a rub-on. Thanks for looking!

Tag, You're It!
Yikes - I've been tagged! So, here is my 6th picture in my 6th folder...
This is my beautiful 5 year-old daughter when she was 2, being silly. She loved being wrapped up like a burrito. She would unwrap herself immediately and ask us to wrap her up again!
So now I believe that I need to tag 6 more people, and here they are:
Nancy
Kayla
Nikki
Leah
Michelle
Lori
I'll be posting more cards this week!
