Feels Like Fall
So here is a card I just made for a weekly sketch contest over at 2 Sketches 4 You (there's a link over on the sidebar). It's a fabulous site with great sketches and a talented design team. Anyway, I've been waiting to submit my version of a sketch that really inspires me, and this is the one! I used brown cardstock as the base, and textured orange paper for the background. The apple and pear along with the striped paper is all Scenic Route (which I love, love, love). I added a little glitter to the pear because I thought it need a little extra something...

Scrappy Weekend
Well it was a busy, busy week last week, so I didn't get anything posted. I participated in a cyber crop over at Scrap4life (wonderful site, you MUST check it out), and here is my favorite layout that I completed.
It's very simple. The circle at the top is a piece of chipboard dipped in glitter...messy, but fun!

Christmas in September
Another Birth Announcement...
So I've been a bit busy recently, which is why I haven't posted anything. But here is my latest BA that I made for a friend. Although I changed it up a bit, this is the basic design. It's a little rough around the edges, but you get the idea.
I continue to use the "pocket" idea, this time inside the card.

Thanks for dropping by!!!
For those who are just checking out my blog, thanks for stopping by. It may appear sparse, but I have several projects in the works, including some sketches that I haven't had a chance to post yet. I've only been blogging for about a month now, and I have been involved in a few scrapbook chat forums, which has really expanded my scrapping horizons. As a mom of two beautiful and busy little girls, I am learning to balance scrapping with being a mommy. Please check back from time to time, there will be big changes in the next few months...

Sleeping Beauties Layout
So this will come as no surprise to those scrappers who have been designing and creating projects for a while, but I didn't realize how easily you can take a 12x12 scrapbook LO and translate it to a card format. So doing all these scrapbook pages has really helped my creativity. Here's another LO I just completed for a monthly challenge at Craft Warehouse. As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew just what pictures to use...

Ballerina
Although the focus of this blog is cards, it would be wrong of me not to include scrapbook layouts that I've made, since they are a source of inspiration to me. It's only recently that I discovered a huge community of people who are as passionate about scrapping as I am (if not more so). I've really learned a lot in a short time about how to take someone else's layout and incorporate my own ideas to fit a personal theme. Following is an example of a submission to a contest requiring us to use a sketch as the basis for a layout. It is a wonderful sketch and I'm proud to share my version.
